As HannaH enters the Temple of Torn Souls, the Temple Master attacks and removes HannaH's soul from her mortal body. He then sets a long series of challenges which forces HannaH to work together with her disembodied soul to complete levels.

Ending (Spoilers)

When HannaH meets the Temple Master in his chamber he challenges her to a dance off. His dance skills, however, are not very good and he is easily defeated. Following this he reunites HannaH's mortal body with her soul as promised and it quickly becomes apparent that he wasn't guarding any treasure after all - only his dance skills. He and HannaH become good friends after the events of the game.
